The Free Belarus Caucus

The Free Belarus Caucus is a bipartisan group in the U.S. House of Representatives committed to supporting democracy, human rights, and free and fair elections in Belarus. Launched on July 14, 2021, by Representatives Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Bill Keating (D-MA), Chris Smith (R-NJ), and Joe Wilson (R-SC), the caucus was created in response to escalating political repression under the regime of Alexander Lukashenka and serves as a key platform for Congressional solidarity with Belarusian democratic forces.
